What are lifestyle choices? We typically think of lifestyle choices as the ones we choose for ourselves, but in reality, anyone can decide their own life-style. Lifestyle is a way of organizing your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and orientation toward life. Lifestyle is what makes up your character, your attitude, your interests, and your behavioral orientations, regardless of your culture, race, religion, sex, or age.
The term was first introduced by Austrian psychiatrist Alfred Adler in his famous 1929 book, The Case of Miss R. In his book, Adler described the meaning of the term as “the sum total of all the tendencies of an individual may have in common, but in parallel with his surroundings.” These could be things like eating habits, dress, personal hygiene, social status, mode of thought, and other similar things. Thus, Adler defines a typical “healthy” lifestyle as one that is integrated with all these elements, while an unhealthy lifestyle is one that is not.
You may not realize it at first, but the biggest change you will notice after making some lifestyle changes is how you interact with other people. Most people who are undergoing significant lifestyle changes are usually open, happy, and willing to socialize with others. They are no longer self-absorbed and do not focus so much on “me” alone that they are constantly looking for approval from others. A healthy lifestyle would be one characterized by plenty of financial security and abundance, and a luxurious lifestyle is antithetical to achieving this kind of life. In fact, once you are able to establish yourself as financially independent and wealthy, you will likely never want to go back! This is essentially the same as changing your lifestyle, except you will be applying the new love and attitude toward your finances.

To change your current lifestyle into a healthy, wealthy, and enjoyable lifestyle, you need to learn to let go of the negative, destructive beliefs and behaviors that got you into your current situation in the first place. The end result will be a lifestyle that is rich in happiness, fulfillment, and success. A lifestyle that is free from fear, worry, stress, and failure.
Finally, if you feel trapped by your current lifestyle, then you may need to look at the possibility of changing your career. If you find that you are working in an unhealthy and demanding career, then you may need to look at other options that allow you the freedom to be a more self-directed and successful individual.
